“Summer in the City” is a unique summertime music festival and celebration in support of Voices of Our City Choir and the work it does with San Diego’s homeless/unsheltered residents. The festival will feature a variety of popular San Diego bands and entertainers including: the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Choir, the Rob Thorsen Quartet plus Charlie Arbelaez, Miki Vale plus Queen Kandi Cole, the San Diego Resistance Revival Chorus, Francesca Valle, MC Flow, Steph Johnson plus special guests, the Voices of Our City Choir, and the Mustache Bash Family Band.
From pop to gospel, hip-hop to jazz, there’s something for everyone. The highlight of the event will be the Voices of our City Choir and their amazing band performing a repertoire of funk, disco, soul, jazz, and pop. Food and drinks will be available for purchase on site and the whole family is welcome.
The music festival will take place Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 4 PM to 9 PM, in Downtown San Diego at the Quartyard event space – 1301 Market St, San Diego, CA 92101. Ticket prices are $25 for adults; $10 for children 12 and under; children under four are free. Free street parking will be available the day of the event.
